Barry has practiced law widely across southern Ontario since 2010. Starting his own practice from day one, Barry helped clients with family court matters in Toronto, Brampton, Orangeville, Newmarket, Barrie, Collingwood, Midland, and one or two other locales. As the pandemic gave Barry a break from his busy court schedule, he settled in Peterborough and decided to retire from the road and the long days in court. He remains dedicated to helping people with the same approach of empathy and efficiency he has always brought to his work, using all the skills and experience gained over the years as a professional problem solver.
The law is often complicated, cumbersome and intimidating. I feel satisfied when I can help calm clients’ anxieties and have them leave the office feeling comfortable and in-control of whatever challenges they may be facing, whether separation, end-of-life planning or buying or selling property.
Despite having never learned to ice skate, even in the long and frigid winters of Winnipeg where I grew up, my favourite place to be in the winter now is out on the ice. Come summer I hang the skates up and spend as much time as I can on the water and in the woods.
Barry is a wonderful combination of calm, insightful and humourous. His personality brings a great deal to our office and our office got a whole lot groovier since he joined us!
