Scott was called to the Bar in 1972 and has practiced exclusively in Peterborough since that time. His areas of expertise are real estate, wills and estates and criminal law.

Scott began practicing law with Farquharson Daly in 1972. During this period he practiced a great deal of municipal law. He then joined Lois Davidson in 1982 to form McMichael Davidson. He has continued the tradition of McMichael Davidson since that time. Scott is continuing his practice within McMichael Davidson until his firm and Sullivan Law Ptbo come together in 2018. 

His practice focuses on client services and ensuring that his clients are always well informed. He prides himself in caring about his clients a great deal. This approach to the practice of law has grown Scott a very loyal clientele.

Scott's past contributions to the Peterborough community include: Past President of the Community Counselling and Resource Centre, Arbour Theatre, Peterborough Baseball Association (Past President) and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough (Past President). 

Outside of the office, Scott is very active singing in the Bonachords, Freemasonry, United Services Institute (Past President), Atom Hockey Tournament Arena Chairperson and spending time with his family (especially grandchildren!). 

Scott is continuing to his practice with McMichael Davidson while sharing space with Sullivan Law Ptbo until January 1, 2018 when the firms are joined.
